When it comes to the swordsmanship and wizardry, nothing combines both as exceptional as "Merlin" series. It has been aired for at least 3 seasons, and as viewers we could not help but to notice the sea of gayness in it.
I know that these 2 heroes fate may be intertwined that they have to quell the dark forces together to obtain peace and harmony. But they don't have to show affection, well, even subtly, to each other. Its spooky OK! They don't have to stare at each other like they desire kisses and hugs, or some foreplay. They don't have to get shirtless in front of one another, or sleep together in the forest. Or gambling one's life for another. Yeah, I know its important to care, but not THAT caring!
Or at least, not the line, "I know that you are lying, Merlin." or "Why do you stop prattling with yourself? Whats wrong?" Only best friends or lovers would read the heart, not some distant relationship.
For me, the female leads are just some props to show that they aren't attracted to each other. Pity Guinevere, only if she knows whats the heating action behind her.
Just watch one episode and you'll realize the infinite amount of eye-sex throughout.
I think they deserve one another. Besides, Merlin is prettier than Guinevere. It's most probable that Arthur will betray her if Merlin gets his 'spell' on Arthur. And Arthur will be enchanted with that love potion, not even Gaius can cure. So much for master-servant camaraderie, right?!
Just get married Merlin and Arthur! Intense friendship? F U!! And Guinevere, you can GTFO.
