Oh just name it.
SNSD, Super Junior, AfterSchool, CNBlue, DBSK, KARA, 4Minute, BigBang, 2PM, 2AM, MBLAQ, FTIsland, SS501.
The world is in under the spell of korean craze. Everyone is loving it, adoring their styles, replicating their images, simulating their songs, attending their concerts, and other endless effort to be like their idols.
Now my laptop is a complete archive of their music videos, albums (pirated), pictures, and all those little paraphernalia. Now my sister wants to study in South Korea with fat hope of meeting her idols in person. Now every second in my life is spent watching them on the dance floor, putting their best effort to flatter frantic audience like me. Now my life is all about them.
It sounds completely delirious to be in awe of someone whom we don't even understand the language. It's weirder because I've never liked slanted-eyed people before, but now it's growing on me. Oh, what a powerful spell. Now it's stylish even for guys to wear eyeliners.
When I do blogwalking, I've seen enough die-hard-fans of these groupies. They aren't just loyal followers, even they formed groups, like a fanbase of their own to show their eternal support to those idols. Like, as far as I know, SONES for SNSD, ELF for Super Junior and Cassiopean for DBSK.
Sometimes being too fanatic is ludicrous. Like, these people are real hard-core. They don't even give a chance for others to bash or humiliate their idols, even in the facebook pages. The funny thing is that, they often fight with each other to show which one is more superior. Which in fact, these idols never care to fight with each other.
The funnier thing is that, the anti-fan even created an anti-fan page in facebook to garner more antis. And they even hosted their own events to manifest their loathe and fury to these groups, which obviously has done nothing to these lunatic anti-fans.
And the funniest is that, I even joined the group. But a sleeping partner. : )
