Of Indulgence

It's pouring outside, and with some additional dramatic effect from the thunder and lightning, this rain tonight would make it among the night of bliss.

I like rain. I love it when the heavy droplets from the infinite sky bomb the roof like a series of endless arrows. It produces such a deafening sound, yet delightful and refreshing. Who would thought this noise would be one of the quietest sound on earth when we simply savour every bit of it? How calm is rain, how invigorating.

I find rain very soothing. Very. Rain bring ease. And the chill, it's a little prickly but not painful at all. This kind of chill that is very indulgent, very raw yet also smooth. It just flows smoothly through our vein unchallenged. Because rain is very sedative like drug.

When it's raining, I feel distinctly lulled immediately. Like I've taken overdosed drugs and it's running through freely. Rain overwhelms me, and everyone towards sneaking into your blanket for the most cozy slumber. Everyone likes rain, it makes us sleep a deadman's sleep.

But rain also brings the best in me. I tend to curl myself to the bed corner with a good book for a little self-improvement. While reading in the rain I can focus at my best, or think as wise as the old man. It feels like the pain on our little shoulders is lightened, no matter who lifted that up. Magically the stress is just swept away.

And I googled, and found this fact. In the droplets of rain, they bring together negative ions, which is desperately needed in our body to maintain the ionic balance in our body, which is overflowed with positive ions. Water element is where these good ions accumulate, and that's why it is very advisable for us to drink a lot of water and spend time at waterpark (maybe,).

Whatever the fact tells, it cannot deny the indulgence that rain carries together with it. When it spills heavily on earth, it cools the scorching land, gives hope to meadow dwellers and alleviates the pain of poor peasants. It is a priceless gift from God that should not be taken for granted.

Alhamdulillah, it's raining now. Thank you Allah.   : )
