Now she's lamenting on my 'rudeness'- because I argued her nothing-much speech and her dream placing my sister in one of the religi-based high school- Maahad or MRSM 'Ulul Albab'. WTH.. (Despite that I helped her ALL-DAY??!!)
As far as I'm concerned, our siblings could never stay in such schools. We couldn't bear living the prickly, stressful and wearying life, what more in a hostel. I remembered one of my nightmares, when I stayed in THAT religious school, which I chose because MY RELATIVES said that it's good for me. It's an 'awesome' choice.
Perhaps they didn't know that 'one's meat can be one's poison'. For them, children like us are like puppets. And we are living under their shade, conforming to the royal orders.
And these relatives were so 'sweet' to strand us in those religious schools. You know how these schools are; wake up at 5 or 4.30 am, and then forced to remember the holy verses, and the tight schedules, and bland food, plus the hazing-desperate seniors. Oh, try me, and I'll voluntarily spread a sex scandal to abolish myself from the system.
I believe that, if we want to do something gracious and angelic; as listed, it should be done SINCERELY. And if we have to succumb without our will, it's just meaningless. Because we don't put our heart into it. So, the Faith won't spark beneath. I should know better, and oh, how I hate being forced. As sweet as I am, I'd do the contrary.
With earnest heart, I plead to all parents to stop harrassing your child and their preferences. Maybe parents 'know better', but that is no longer prevalent in this modern world. Ask for their opinion also, they aren't just some chicken meat waiting to be moulded into a pie. And do some research before blindly following the nonchalant relatives whose just waiting to see you make a false move. They don't give a shit about your life, about your fucking schools. They just don't care. After all, the power is in your hands. Make the right choice.
