commitment

So i found that prophet Muhammad pbuh. started praying at the age of 51. After the surreal ascend to Paradise he summoned the believers to start praying and do it as he does.

I'm questioning my commitment to this act of worship now. If the great leader only started at such late age why would i start now? *point of conjecture

I mean for the first 11 years of Islam emergence what were the act of worship? I mean besides doa, is there anything that the devotees did to maintain their religious stance?

Here now as a Muslim i need to pray 5 times a day, fast 30 days and guard my desires just to actually pass the borderline of an adequate believer.

And to say the least, the promise of heaven is within the grasp of God. Nobody knows the secret of His great plan for humanity. Even the bad guys will be granted if they repented. The good ones? There is no guarantee afterall. Gotta work hard for that.

Sometimes i really dont get this religion and it gets more confusing to read between the lines.

What makes it worse is that every Muslim needs to be able to learn a bit of Arabic because the Holy Quran is wholly Arabic. And God said that in Heaven Arab is the language. I mean whyyyy..

Once the Arabs were a degraded culture, rife of slavery, honour killing and woman trading. Now that the last Prophet was born amongst them the whole world has to follow their lead. True nepotism indeed. coup de' tat to the core.

I dont really understand the fact that all prophets were sent to middle east. Isnt there people in other parts of the globe? Dont we deserve enlightenment as much as the middle easterns? Or middle easterns were so messed up they needed divine intervention badly.

But they fact that the world has to follow their lead, i dont get.

Maybe thats why they said, never let your faith be shaken by straying thoughts. Its faith and faith only can affirm the need to pray. Or so they said.

I'm only human and theres no way i could travel in time and ask the Prophet about this.

Whatever. Get off the bed and pray anyway.
