There's a place in the world that I would never go even if I was offered fully sponsored holiday package. It's the so-called-great China- the land where Santa would be if he's real, the land of manufacturing and booming economy.
Reason: China is so overwhelmingly polluted that it compares to nuclear wasteland.
With colossal and unending manufacturing going on, it is without question that the land itself is polluted. What makes it worse is the government officials and factory owners' attitude towards this issue- they couldn't care less. Even with awareness, they can't be bothered to treat the polluted air or replant the trees or stop the toxic disposal. Being absolutely ignorant, driven by greed and inhumanity, China officials continues their quest towards being the world primary goods supplier. You name it- food, apparel, electronic gadgets, and what-nots.
China has used up everything she has- land, forest, coals, human resources, to provide to the global needs. I watched a documentary about the fact that China is stumbling in preserving their forests, the use of sizeable amount of pesticides in the commercial greens, the use of waste products in food and the rivers were so badly polluted that it was covered with algae. The rivers were so toxic you could get burns and rashes with little contact.
And to make matter worse, the officials were exhilarated with the visible changes , only looking at the outcomes and ignoring the consequences. They don't care if trees were gone and rivers were polluted, knowing what goes into their pockets. In fact if there's more tress to cut or river to dispose the waste, they would. The nature is there to suffer in place of their money for treatment.
Because of so many pollution, people are constantly sick and can't get enough quality food. You see how much fake food China is feeding to its people and the world. News about fake egg, fake noodles and fake chocolate using excess of other food. They actually feed us shits for real!
Fishermen can't fish as the sea is contaminated; with the recent oil spill news, who knows how these poor people survive. God!
Chairman Mao would be heavily disappointed if he was alive to see this. Chinese will always be Chinese. Money first, everything else comes second.
I would never go to China knowing that every single contact with people there would bring disaster. With what they eat and their infamous reputation, they can kiss my ass goodbye. Actually don't kiss it, I might get infected with what they had. And of course, the air there could kill you for God's sake. It's like living in a nuclear plant with no safety measures.
I'm afraid of this country not because of their gadgets or power, but what they offer to our dinner table could kill us any moment.
Be scared people. China is coming for us.
