Ever read about black swan situation? Ever seen a black swan in its natural environment?
The black swan situation refers to isolated cases or situation requiring special method of conducts. It originates from the discovery of living black swans in oceania regions- Australia and New Zealand. Black swan is a rare breed and prior to discovery, fathomed as a mythical creature in European regions and Asian alike.
As an English major, I would consider myself as a part of the marginal group. Not too many qualified English teachers/speakers dwell among the masses in the last 10 years. I had given this a serious thought, to be an English-based instructor in any given fields due to high demands of English speaking mediators.
However the rise of technology and quality education impacts on the avalibility and employment in my area. Just now Ive done with my interview, only to be disappointed that teaching positions are not available. Students graduating from UK are more popular among employers, not giving a damn about my credibility as an abroad graduate. Perhaps I should try my luck elsewhere.
My status as a black swan is replaced with the pandemic of more 'black swans' flying from other countries. They must look great on barbeque grills.
