Kalau Orang Melayu Rajin Sikit..

This post might be a little racist.

This is a shred of words I heard from an advert in a local radio station recently.

"Malaysia ni bagus bang, tapi kalau orang Malaysia lagi sikit punya rajin lagi bagus laa abaaang.."- voice of an immigrant.

"..."

silence.

It slapped right on to my face. Damn straight. If only Malaysians, or should I focus, Malay are more diligent.

Our Malay tribe is fairly interconnected with bad lash like idleness, temper, emotion, lust, sex, sleep, sleep and sleep. The most heartrending fact is that, Malay only read two books a year. Put aside text books.

No wonder that we've seen a shitload of adverts with sexual vibes on TV. Inflating this, upsizing that, one night stand, etc, etc, etc.. Even children are watching that.Again, media and sex. No wonder that we surpass Japan on porn sites visit ranking, though we all know too well that porn is legal in Japan.

Our little tribe needs a little brainwashing. Not like BTN-style brainwashing where one second we remember and the next it's the fun again. Not like BTN too which actually overrates the politic situation in Malaysia, which actually more messed up than Afghanistan.  We need something refreshing, something that imprints eternally in us so that our nation is no longer labelled with delinquency, breach of trust, and the list above.

I am proud to be born a Malay, and no doubt of the specialty and royalty and whatever is given. As Malay, we've been subsidised, showered with gifts and sponsors, but do we realise that all this while, all we do is take, take and take? And then we comment, comment, comment? And then the demonstration? Is that the best we can do?

The question is when will we give, give, give? One good deed deserves another. And all that matters is some passion in whatever we are doing.

Come on people. Wake up. I'm not writing like some nationalist, but I'm proud to say that we've seen our little cluster of clan has made remarkable achievements all around the world. Just look around. My friends are around the world. Some in Japan, some in America, Korea, Indonesia, Russia, France, Australia, and the list goes on. And with my humble heart I'm proud to be an ambassador of our country, our clan to New Zealand soon. Credits to Allah for that.

All I want to say, Malays can achieve whatever we want to. As puny as we appear, we actually can. It's proven . If you want to be an accountant, be the rightful and bribe-free one. Because if you mess with bribe it stains not only your reputation but our clan too. If you are an engineer, make great inventions that will open the Johnnys eyes wide. If you are a teacher, make sure all your students ace their studies, you actually raise great people.

And all that starts with DILIGENCE. Miss Julia said, hard work pays. And it shows.

Be not afraid of greatness, because the greatness is within you.

Cheers.   : )
