I had my favourite grilled spicy chicken and Jimmy had the beef dish. As usual we would come up with the recent encounters in the week. That's when he brought up the topic about Malaysian girls wearing 'turban's on the head.
I told him it is not turban but scarf indeed, and girls wear it for religious reasons.
But he refused to understand that. He remained with his 'turban' opinion and jokingly proposed that those girls have dangerous explosive stuff like c4 embedded in the scarf or something. Yea because it is a rare sight here to see girls with scarfs, and with intense media rampage upon 9/11, it makes these girls as much terrorists as the bad guys.
That doesn't include his close observation about arab women with their whole body covered except their eyes which are heavily caked with eyeliners.Like, how could they even survive the weather, especially in the blazing hot countries with such custom clothing?
Yea I got his point too. "Do these girls have c4 under the turbans" is still the best joke ever.
It actually got me thinking, religion without rationale is somewhat blind though.
Not putting the blame on religion, however the extreme devotees give a bad reputation to the religion with such extreme conduct. It actually makes other people take us as repulsive at some point.

Later he brought up the turban issue in China back in the communist years during the reign of 'yellow turban' militants, who were a bunch of revolutionary peasant to stand against Emperor Ling from Han Dynasty.
Perhaps that is one of the reasons why Muslim women still attached to suicide bombers. LOL.
