Been A long Time

Its been eons since I write on this white decent page. I was off the radar the whole week, traveling across the state borders, discovering new, breathtaking spots around the north island.

As we travel, the most discernible scenery was the countless herds of sheep and cows on the range-land. Those sheep look like an abundant, scattered clout of mushrooms just ready to be reaped. Their white wool make them looked juicy for lamb shank, oh, perhaps that's my way looking at a sheep. Like a cheetah.

Technically we've covered 50% of the north island, which cost us only $300 on 6 days trip. How's that sound? super super cheap right?? Next time we've gotta do this again.

Went to Rotorua for a some action. Obviously water-rafting was the best experience so far around that area. I'll surely return for to waste some money on Luge and sky swing. One step at a time baby. As we lurk around the secluded areas around Rotorua, suddenly the magic of nature came springing onto us. Beautiful, beautiful places.

Also found an apple farm. Free entrance, free fruit picking. Just that before you leave you have to pay for the load of apples you harvested- $1 for 1 kilo. Time for apple insanity.

At night, this beautiful town turned into a ghost town. So ghostly that all shops closed their business by 7 pm, and no one was sighted drinking in bars expect some desperate loners. Even 24 hours McD drive-thru closed by 10pm. I wondered the night activity of this city dwellers. Not drinking not shopping not hanging out, so what??! Someone please enlighten me.

In the morning the smoke from the cracked geyzer spots smoldered the town. From a dead town into an area around some erupting volcanoes. Yet it was so cold that we breathed out visible air. Like smoking. Its a sign that winter is around the corner.

Next spot-Taupo. Some of us did bungee jumping here. It is claimed to be the highest spot for bungee jumping into the water. And the lake- invigorating. The water was so green and blue, so beautiful to the level of indescribable.

Didn't miss the great Huka Fall. WOW!! The raging water was crashing everything on its way. It was so furious that it can drown a whale. hahah!! And then we went to the booooorriiiiinngg crater walkaway. The path was so long that we should hire a cab to do the traveling. It is a safe place to view some little volcanoes. Some of those craters looked like hell holes- bubbling with smokes and fire. Creepy!

Beautiful seasides. Everything just wowed me.

We spent the night at Tiki Lodge-an agency for backpackers like us. Made some barbecue and partied that night. Almost drowned in the avalanche of food.  Made friends with a German and English.

Our next spot is Palmerston North. Super cold, and rainy. Spent the night at a friend's uncle house. Very friendly, generous folks!! Treated us like their own blood. It felt like home, really.

In New Plymouth, the last spot, some drama happened. One of our friend was hospitalized due to her prolonged pain. She endured that pain the whole journey, perhaps she reached her last muscle. Suddenly everything went haywire for a second. Thank God she's okay, strong to travel home.

Now in my dreams, I was in Rotorua, eager for the next destination. But comes the reality, I'm just in my old room. Got to travel again!!
