Let me just list down my schedule for the day.
- Hopping on bus to go to a Welcoming Ceremony hosted by the Department of Education ( as early as 7.30-12.15) . The occasion was freaking strange. If you want to show your tenderness and warmth to these Mauris ( native people ), its by staring deep into their eyes and joint your forehead with theirs. Unusual custom, isn't it? Then we have a little fair on the Epsom Campus. It was frightfully cold in the morning, I thought it was below 10 degrees. Crazy day!
- 1.30-4.30 pm.Attended 2 major talk, well its an introduction to the university facilities and assistance provided for developing English in this English-as-a-primary-language country. Plus a talk about academic writing, its like recalling the haunted past, struggling with socio essays. Argh, suddenly the nightmares seemed to be real!
- 4.45 pm. Paying the house rent. Which cost us almost half of our allowance for 6 months. I gotta be thrift! No more shopping craze..
- 5.15-8.15pm. I took a nap. Or else I'd be wondering off the streets like a drunk who suffers from critical insomnia.
- 8.30pm. Suddenly the MARA delegates instructed us to settle the bank account stuffs. What? In the middle of the night?? There's nothing more therapeutic but swearing my effing ass off..
- 8.50pm. FINALLY.. Some real food. I did have a toast for breakfast, a pie for lunch and an ice cream for the little interval in between. Finally some real life puffed up, and I didn't cook. Kudos to my housemates. who've learnt the hard way of cooking to keep alive and not broke.
- Later- some casual chats with old peeps.. Taunting the freaks we met at the mauri meeting this morning. The bra-less chicks, the guys and girls with tattoo, which we thought that was really cool, the reeeaally big guys that you'd thought that he's a wrestler than a decent teacher, wow strange flock!!
- And now, off to my virtual diary. I think I need to write more frequent. So I'm gonna keep tracking back at this blog. With some more out-of-planet stories I hope.
